Hoje (11) cedo, Cedric “The Entertainer” e Wilmer Valderrama anunciaram os candidatos a cinema e televisão para o prêmio The Golden Globes. A cerimônia de premiação que será exibida ao vivo na CBS (e transmite pela Paramount+), acontecerá no domingo, 7 de janeiro de 2024. Uma das grandes surpresas é sem dúvida alguma a indicação de The Last of Us.
A série da HBO baseada no jogo de mesmo nome foi nomeada melhor série de televisão-drama, ao lado de grandes sucessos como Succession, The Crown, The Diplomat, 1932 e The Morning Show. Além disso, o protagonista de The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal, foi indicado no melhor desempenho por um ator em uma série de televisão – categoria de drama.
Pascal estará competindo contra Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin e Jeremy Strong de Succession, bem como Gary Oldman por Slow Horses e Dominic West por The Crown. Já Bella Ramsey foi nomeada para Melhor Performance por uma atriz em uma série de TV – Drama, ao lado de Helen Mirren em 1923, Keri Russell em The Diplomat, Sarah Snook em Succession, Imelda Staunton em The Crown e Emma Stone por The Curse.

Barbie e Succession lideram as indicações para o prêmio, que foram revelados hoje pela manhã. Barbie e Succession levaram nove nomeações nas categorias de filmes e TV, respectivamente. No lado do filme, Oppenheimer entrou em seguida, com oito, seguido por Assassinos da Lua das Flores e Poor Things com sete cada. A Netflix liderou todos os distribuidores de filmes com 13 nomeações, seguido pela Warner Bros. Pictures com 12.
Nas categorias de TV, Succession foi seguida por The Bear e Only Murders in the Building, com cinco indicações cada um, e The Crown, com quatro. A HBO/Max liderou todos os distribuidores de TV com 17 acenos totais, seguidos pela Netflix com 15.
O prêmio de Melhor Realização cinematográfica e de bilheteria inclui oito indicados escolhidos em filmes que alcançaram “uma bilheteria total/bruto de US $ 150 milhões, dos quais US $ 100 milhões devem vir da bilheteria doméstica dos EUA e/ou obter visualizações de streaming digital proporcionais reconhecidos pelas fontes de confiança do setor”, conforme informado.
Os filmes lançados após 22 de novembro até o final do ano “podem se qualificar com base no desempenho projetado de bilheteria e/ou visualizações de streaming digital de fontes de confiança do setor”. Os eleitores do Globo de Ouro determinarão os indicados e vencedores nesta categoria “com base na excelência” entre os filmes que atendem às bilheterias e critérios de visualização de streaming.
